Calculation breakdown

How it works

A retirement pension is paid to a Saudi who has completed the minimum contribution months. It is estimated as an annual factor × contribution years × the average contributory wage (capped at SAR 45,000).

Old system: minimum 120 months (10 years), retirement age 60, factor 2.5% per year. New system (Decree M/273): minimum 180 months (15 years), age 65, factor 2.25%. Expat workers are not part of the pension scheme, so no pension is due.
